15 migrants rescued off Benidorm

On Sep 3 the sailing yacht 'Blue Minx' sighted a precarious boat, which had stopped 27 nautical miles east of Benidorm. The ferry 'El Djazair II' diverted to the scene and provided the occupants with food and water. The 'Blue Minx' remained in the area until the arrival of the 'Salvamar Leo', which had been deployed by the CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo for further assistance, which rescues 15 people, among them one woman and one minor, and transferred them to the port of Valencia.

15 migrants rescued off Cabo Roig

On Aug 2 the fishing vessel 'Nuevo Elena' reported sighting of a boat which was adrift 30 nautical miles east of Cabo Roig. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Leo', which locates it and rescued the 15 people on board, among them three minors and one woman, in good condition. They were transferred to Alicante.

On June 13, 2024, the fishing vessel 'Galán Salvador' reported that it has a zodiac on its side 40 nautical miles southsoutheast of Alicante with 15 people on board, without children or women. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Maitimo mobilized the' Salvamar Leo', which rescued them and took them to the port of Alicante
