Sailboat towed to Jávea
On the night of May 20, 2025, The sailboat 'Arya Tara' ran aground in Cala Sardinera, Jávea, with two crew members on board. The 'Salvamar Fénix' was mobilized by the CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo and refloated the boat. It was safely towed to the port of Jávea. A patrol boat of the Guardia Civil transported one crew member to shore, while the skipper remained on board for the operation.
16 migrants rescued, one recovered dead
The CUCO helicopter of the Guardia Civil spoted a migrant boat 66 nautical miles east of Alicante on May 8. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Fénix' to assist, which rescued 16 sub-Saharan African men and recovered one body and transported them to the port of Alicante. Some of those rescued have required medical assistance from the Red Cross.
Fishing boat towed to the marina of Denia
On April 21, 2025, the 7-meter-fishing boat 'TLA', with four people on board, suffered engine problems near Denia and requested towing assistance. The. CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Fénix', which took the wooden boat in tow and safely pulled it to the Denia Marina.
