Fishing vessel towed to Camariñas

On Feb 16, the Spanish flagged fishing vessel 'Hermanos Tajes' went adrift 2,5 nautical miles north of Touriñán, due to a mechanical failure, and requested assistance. The 'Salvamar Altair' was tasked to respond and took it in tow to the port of Camariñas.

Longliner towed to Laxe

The Spanish flagged Fishing vessel 'O Saburil', 17, gt, with four crew members on board, lost its steering on Dec 19, 2023, near O Roncudo after a line got hooked in the propeller. The longliner requested towing assistance. The CCS Fisterra of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Altair', which took the ship in tow and safely pulled it to Laxe.

Disabled vessel towed to Camarinas

The Spanish f/v 'Ox Xuxos' was disabled and adrift eight nautical miles north of Cabo Villano on Aug 9, 2023, after fishing nets became entangled in the propeller. Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Altair' to assist, which took the ship in tow and safely pulled it to the port of Camarinas. After the propulsion was cleared, the ship left Camarinas again on Aug 10.
