67 migrants rescued from two boats
On the morning of Aug 12, a cayuco and and inflatable boat were located south of Arguineguín and east of Lanzarote respectively. The seven migrants in the first case and 60 migrants, amont them two minors, in the second case, were assisted by the 'Salvamar Macondo' and 'Salvamar Al-Nair'. 38 migrants rescued off Las Palmas
On July 29, the crew of the 'Salvamar Al Nair' has rescued 38 people aboard an inflatable boat, which had previously been located by the Sasemar 103 aircraft. The SAR boat transferred the migrants to Puerto del Rosario. The operation was coordinated from the CCS of Salvamento Marítimo in Las Palmas.
60 migrants rescued off Arrecife
On June 1, the 'Salvamar Al Nair' rescued 60 North African migrants about 66 nautical miles northeast of Arrecife. Their boat had been located by a Sasemar 102 aircraft. The response was coordinated by the CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo. The 'Panda 009' was first on scene and remained alongside the inflatable boat until the arrival of the SAR boat. It took the castaways on board, and on June 2 at 1:20 a.m. Canary Islands time, the 'Salvamar Al Nair' docked in the Port of Arrecife (Lanzarote), where the migrants were dropped off.
