Yacht distressed off Playa de la Joya
The 'Sailandsea' ran aground on rocks at the Playa de la Joya with 11 people on board on Aug 29, 2024, Three of them landed in the water. The CCS Almería of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Gienah' and beach services from Torrenueva (Granada), which rescued the people from the water with its rubber boat and transferred them onto the SAR boat.
