Welding work caused fire
In the morning of July 29, 2015, the Seattle Firefighters responded to a fire at Deck 3 of Fishermen's Terminal. At approximately 7:30 a.m. SFD dispatchers received a call that there was a fire on the "Safari Voyager". The ship was moored at the terminal and undergoing construction work. The fire was limited to one room. Over 27 units were dispatched to the scene. By the time firefighters arrived the welders had extinguished the flame. SFD investigators were still determining what caused the blaze, but there was welding work being dong on the deck when the fire started.
