Fire during welding work
On Sep 1, 2016, a fire broke out aboard the "Amber (ex "Robla"), 1622 ts (EU-No.: 06002456) on the slipway of a shipyard at the Nahuysweg in Hasselt. The fire broke out after welding work and was accompanied by a lot of smoke. Employees of the shipyard had to stop their attempts to fight the fire due to the smoke. Fire departments from Hasselt and Genemuiden were called to the site and were quickly on the spot. The fire was extinguished within an hour, and the cargo holds were ventilated with a pressure fan.
