Crystal's First River Ship, Crystal Mozart, Christened in Vienna

Tue Jul 12 08:41:28 CEST 2016 arnekiel

Crystal River Cruises christened its first riverboat, Crystal Mozart, with a successful smash of a champagne bottle this afternoon (July 11) on a hot, sunny day in Vienna. The naming ceremony marks the entry of luxury cruise operator, Crystal Cruises, into the river cruise market. Guests of Crystal Cruises and Genting Hong Kong took shelter from the blazing sun in a tent by Vienna's Millennium Pier, Crystal Mozart's new home port. Beloved Crystal entertainer Mark Farris was the event's musical host, introducing VIPs and providing his own musical accompaniment. Crystal's CEO and president Edie Rodriguez welcomed guests to witness "another historic milestone for the world's most awarded luxury cruise line." Crystal Mozart, the first of seven planned riverboats (four are scheduled to launch in summer 2017), will "set a new standard of excellence and comfort for all of Europe's Rivers," she said, thanking the ship's crew, officers and parent company Genting Hong Kong for their efforts in bringing this day to fruition. http://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/news/news.cfm?ID=7124
