Technical failure off Canakkale Strait
The "Tugra", en route from Famagusta to Gemlik in ballast condition, suffered a technical failure and dropped anchor at the southern entrance of the Canakkale Strait on Aug 27, 2019. Repairs were being carried out by the crew. The ship remained moored in pos. 39° 52.87' N 026° 2.68' E on Aug 29.
Sava troubled in Bosphorus after mechanical engine failure
General cargo vessel Sava reportedly suffered mechanical failure in the evening Aug 16 in Bosphorus, transiting in southern direction, en route from Varna Bulgaria to Gemlik Turkey. Vessel was anchored in Sariyer area, Istanbul. At 0700 UTC Aug 17 vessel was in the same position.
