Tanker under tow to Turkey
The "FT Odin" after having suffered engine failure enroute from Augusta managed to approach Kythira island with the help of the Italian tanker "Medkem Three" (IMO: 9148881), and dropped anchor. Later the tanker was taken in tow by the Greek tug "Christos XVIII", to Turkey and was proceeding at a speed of 4.5 knots in eastern direction.

In the morning of Mar 6, 2015, the "FT Odin" suffered engine damage and was adrift 11, 5 miles SW of the island Kythira with a crew of 13. The ship was in Ballast enroute from Augusta to Port Said. The Greek Coastguard advised another Italian tanker to stand by. On scene were southern winds of 7-8 Beaufort.
