The 'Raymond Evans' has repatriated 16 migrants to Cuba on Feb 11, 2025, following an interdiction approximately 15 nautical miles southwest of Gun Cay, Bahamas. A Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 aircrew had detected the 25-foot makeshift vessel on Feb 7 and notified Coast Guard Sector Miami command center watchstanders, who diverted the Coast Guard Cutter 'Manowar' to interdict the vessel. Once aboard the Coast Guard cutter, the migrants were processed to determine their identity and were provided food, water, shelter, and basic medical attention before repatriation. U.S. Coast Guard cutters returned a combined 305 migrants to the Bahamas and Haiti on June 9 and 10, 2024, following multiple interdictions of unlawful maritime migration attempts over the last week in support of Operation Vigilant Sentry. The 'Raymond Evans' and 'Richard Etheridge 'transferred 109 people to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force on June 9, following an interdiction near Anguilla Cay, Bahamas. U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations (CBP-AMO) aircrews notified Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant venture near Anguilla Cay and crews diverted to interdict them. The Coast Guard Cutter 'Thetis' repatriated 196 people to Haiti, Monday, following two migrant voyage interdictions on June 5 and June 6. A CBP-AMO aircrew notified Coast Guard District Seven watchstanders on June 5 of a migrant venture north of Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Another CBP-AMO aircrew notified Coast Guard District Seven watchstanders on June 6 of a migrant venture north of Île de la Tortue, Haiti. Crews diverted to interdict both vessels. Once aboard the Coast Guard cutters, migrants are processed to determine their identity and are provided food, water, shelter, and basic medical attention before repatriation to their country of origin or return to the country from which they departed. A Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations airplane crew notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel on Dec 12 at approximately 7 p.m., about 35 miles south of Long Key. A Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations airplane crew notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel, the same day at approximately 7:45 p.m., about 20 miles south of Woman Key. A Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations airplane crew notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel, the same day at approximately 7:45 p.m., about 35 miles south of Boot Key. A Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations airplane crew notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel, the same day, at approximately 8 p.m., about 20 miles south of Indian Key. The Coast Guard Cutter 'Tahoma' notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day, at approximately 9:30 p.m., about 20 miles south of Boca Grande. A Customs and Borer Protection Air and Marine Operations airplane notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day at approximately 10 p.m., about 20 miles south of Boot Key. A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater HC-144 Ocean Sentry notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel on Dec 13 at approximately 7:15 a.m., about 25 miles south of Long Key. A good Samaritan alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel on Dec 13 at approximately 7:15 a.m., about 50 mile southeast of Key Largo. The Coast Guard Station Islamorada notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day, at approximately 12:30 p.m., about 9 mile south of Tavernier Creek.
