Ferry on the rocks
In the morning of June 26, 2017, at 7.30 a.m. the "Lovundjenta" ran onto rocks off Bjørn at Dønna. The ferry had two passengers and the passengers on board and was enroute from Dønna to Sandnessjøen. The passengers were taken off by another boat and shipped to Sandnessjøen. The Seløy Underwater Service was calledto take the boat to a slip in Sandnessjøen. The ship took in water, and it suffered quite extensive damage at the bottom. The ferry company inserted "Lovund Express" for the rest of the day.
