Allision in Wadomari
On Jan 8, 2024, just after 2 p.m. the 'Queen Coral Cross' with 288 people on board allided with the quaywhile attempting to enter Wadomari Port on Okinoerabu Island upon Kagoshima. The ropes were being lowered from the ship, but there were no signs of slowing down. The ship finally came to a stop shortly after the people near the bow escaped. There were no injuries and there was no oil spill. The ship remained docked at Wadomari Port due to the engine trouble which caused the accident as of Jan 9.
