Russian freighter Pur-Navolok detained in Georgia for yet unknown reason

Mon Mar 19 12:41:25 CET 2012 odinfm

Russian media is boiling with news of the arrest of Russian general cargo Pur-Navolok in Georgian waters off Batumi port, Black sea. No media explained what’s all about, even such details as date of detention. Media say “vessel was detained for violation of navigational rules”, but what does it mean, nobody seems to know or care. There’s a lot of politics in everything connected with Russia and Georgia, and what are the reasons for detention, is yet absolutely unclear. As of 1000 UTC March 19 vessel is anchored on outer Batumi road. Maritime Bulletin http://www.odin.tc
