The Prince of Asturias (R-11), the aircraft carrier that for 25 years has held the flag proudly flagship of the Spanish Armada, will be scrapped. The ship will sail from Rota (Cadiz) to undertake their journey sadder: travel in about 44 hours more than 700 miles (1,300 kilometers) to the arsenal of Ferrol (La Coruña), which will be immobilized and disarmed first, and then sold auction to the highest bidder. The Prince of Asturias has colossal dimensions: height equivalent to a 12 story building and its length, 195 meters, two blocks of houses. In its cover (5,000 square meters) could play a football game. It is a small town of 596 inhabitants with 650 rooms, hospital, desalination plant, workshops, gym, chapel and, of course, airport. www.musel.in
