Grounding in Hong Kong
The "Jing Feng 7" ran aground off Ma Wan, west of the main Kwai Tsing container terminal complex in the Port of Hong Kong on Jan 3, 2017, at 7.30 a.m. The ship was enroute to Shekou from Pohang when it suffered engine failure and drifted onto the shore of Pak Wan on the island, also known as Park Island. The Marine Department (Mardep) was informed of the incident. The vessel was successfully towed off the shore and was anchored some distance away in the channel.
