Grounding on Congo River

The 'Ahu C', carrying a cargo of 20,000 tonnes of bagged rice on board, ran aground on the River Congo, approximately 100 miles from Pointe Noire, 15.4 miles from the Banana Inner Anchorage in position 006 01 01S, 12 46 53E, on April 12, 2021, at 4.30 p.m. T&T Savage LLC were appointed under a LOF salvage contract on April 14 to refloat the ship. On April 22 at 1.20 p.m. the ship was underway again, headed to Boma, where it berthed on April 24 at 2.10 p.m.

Allision off Istanbul

On Aug 14, 2016, at 9.38 p.m. the Bulkcarrier "Alexandros Theo" was in collision with the "Ephesus III" on the Ahikapi anchorage off Istanbul after passing the Bosphorus in southern direction. The "Ephesus III" allided with the anchored "Alexandros Theo" which was en route from Varnanto Ghent, the other ship was en route from Tuapse to Alexandria. Both vessels suffered slight damages and anchored near collision site.
