€10 million cocaine haul destined for Ireland found in fruit cargo at Costa Rica port

Wed Aug 22 08:38:08 CEST 2018 arnekiel

Gardai are involved in a massive international hunt for the drug traffickers who attempted to import a giant €10m Kinahan haul of cocaine from Costa Rica to an Irish port. As previously revealed by the Irish Mirror, Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll, Special Crime Operations, is leading a huge international war against the Kinahan Organised Crime Group. Gardai today revealed that they are now assisting in the hunt for those who organised the massive €10million haul as sources confirmed it as a Kinahan shipment. The Polar Chile is presently off the West Indies as it steams towards Cork Harbour and is due to arrive on August 22 next. While in port last week, Costa Rican narcotic cops searched the vessel and found the 133 kilos of coke concealed in a cargo of fruit. https://www.irishmirror.ie/news/irish-news/crime/10-million-cocaine-haul-destined-13105316
