Under tow to La Coruna

The "Pallas" left the port of Breskens on Sep 18, 2015, being bound for La Caruna under tow of the "Fenna B" (IMO: 9675963), ETA Sep 23. There the barge will be taken over.

Wheelhouse destroyed in bridge allision

The "Pallas", 2996 ts (EU-No.: B06004160), allided with a bridge in Hasselt on the Zwarte Water in the afternoon of Jan 1, 2013. The hydraulic of the wheelhouse had failed so that it could not be lowered in time. An attempt to slow down came too late. The wheelhouse was completely destroyed. The captain and two other crew members remained uninjured. After the allision, the was development of dense smoke but no open fire. The ship was carrying 2300 tons of diesel fuel in 14 compartments. There was no oil spill. A pusher tug moved the damaged ship out of the fairway.
