Two harbour workers were poisoned while the "Pacific Resource" was unloading coal at the Enstedt plant in Apenrade on Apr 2, 2011. They likely suffocated as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. While the older of the two workers was found dead already on Apr 2, the other was found unconscious and taken to hospital, where he then died early morning of Feb 4. On Feb 5 there was an autopsy of the two. Presumably, however, carbon monoxideaccumulated in the hold of the freighter. According to police, the circumstances of the accident are not known. The Inspectorate launched an investigation and ordered security measures aboard the vessel which remained in Apenrade.
