Mon Jun 24 09:27:27 CEST 2024 Timsen

On June 23, 2024, at 9:57 p.m., the 'Ottoman Tenacity', en route from Bettioua to Cadiz, reported that a crew member had fallen overboard at the Banco del Hoyo anchorage, 16 nautical miles from Barbate, on the coast of Cádiz. The SAR helicpopter Helimer 223 and the SAR boat 'Salvamar Enif' were mobilized to search for the man. Later the SAR boat 'Salvamar Suhail' joined the SAR operation. First tanker since 10 months docks at Libya's Zueitina port

Fri May 02 21:48:08 CEST 2014 arnekiel

Libya's eastern Zueitina oil port received late on Thursday, May 1, its first tanker of crude since reopening after nearly ten months due to protests, state-run National Oil Corp (NOC) said. The tanker would load one million barrels of crude, NOC spokesman Mohammed El Harari said. According to shipping sources, Austria's OMV had chartered the Ottoman Tenacity. A second tanker would load crude on May 5 and a third one after that, Harari said. NOC lifted force majeure on the port on April 28 following a recent deal with federalist protesters to reopen the smallest two of four blocked eastern ports. Source: Reuters
