SeaBird Exploration awarded contract extension for Osprey Explorer

Seismic specialist SeaBird Exploration has been awarded extensions to two of its existing contracts utilising survey vessels. Voyager Explorer, working on an ocean bottom node survey in Asia, has been extended by around 90 days through to March, with an additional option to extend by another 30 days. Osprey Explorer, working on an ocean bottom node survey in the Americas region, has been extended to around 180 days. Upon completion of the contract in March, the vessel will commence a new survey in the region, keeping it operating through to mid-April 2019

SeaBird Exploration awarded source contract in West Africa

SeaBird Exploration is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to provide a source vessel for an upcoming survey in West Africa. The project is anticipated to commence during Q1 and will have a duration of approximately 60 days. SeaBird will be using the Osprey Explorer for the project. SeaBird is a global provider of marine acquisition for 2D/3D and 4D seismic data, and associated products and services to the oil and gas industry. SeaBird specializes in high quality operations within the high end of the source vessel and 2D market, as well as in the shallow/deep water 2D/3D and 4D market. Main focus for the company is proprietary seismic surveys (contract seismic). Main success criteria for the company are an unrelenting focus on Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE), combined with efficient collection of high quality seismic data.
