Bulkcarrier remains arrested in Houston

Thu Apr 18 09:24:24 CEST 2019 Timsen

The "Fearless" remained arrested and moored on Houston anchorage in pos. 29° 13.12' N 094° 42.09' W after the Pacific Gulf Shipping Company filed a lawsuit in February 2019 against a slew of companies connected to the Gourdomichalis brothers. The vessel was nearly freed in mid-March, after attorneys for the Gourdomichalises argued that one of the companies down the charter chain had not yet held Pacific Gulf liable. Pacific Gulf filed an emergency motion for reconsideration. The judge reversed his original decision. On April 13, the court heard arguments on a second motion to reconsider, this time from the registration company of the "Fearles" which is worth US dollars 5.3 million.
