Ferry delayed due to broken down vehicle

On April 9, 2025, at 3:56 p.m. a car broke down on the deck of the "Ole Bull", serving on the route Valestrand-Breistein, while the ferry was berthed at the quay at Valestrand. As the vehicle first had to be removed, the ferry service was delayed.

The 'Ole Bull" allided with a quay at Breistein in Åsane in the foremidday hours of March 15. The propeller of the ferry had become unfixed to the engine causingit to go adrift. No one was hurt, but the ferry of the Osterøy Ferjeselskap A/S, Valestrandfossen, had to be taken out of the service Breistein -Valestrandsfossen and was sidelined at the quay for repairs.

Ferry crew saved man from burning cabin cruiser

A cabin cruiser caught fire on the Sør Fjord on March 15, 2012, at 9.20 p.m. The was one person aboard, which was saved by the crew of the "Ole Bull" at 9.45 p.m. Fire rescue and air ambulance were alerted too. The man was taken to shore and checked by medical personnel.
