Wellard Gets New Buyer for Swagman

Fri Aug 09 12:41:14 CEST 2019 arnekiel

Australia's largest live cattle exporter Wellard Wellard Limited says it is moving closer to selling the M/V Ocean Swagman after agreeing to a new $37.1 million purchase proposal for the vessel from a Panama based subsidiary of the Italian bulk shipping company Nova Marine Holdings SA. The mid-sized vessel used by West Australian-based live exporter Wellard said that the offer is US$3.2 million higher than the previously announced proposed sale of the M/V Ocean Swagman to Heytesbury Holding Company Pty Ltd for $32.4 million.

Repairs of engine completed

Mon Mar 14 11:45:43 CET 2016 Timsen

The "Ocean Swagman" was set to return to sea after being repaired off South America. The vessel has completed repairs and sea trials in Montevideo and on Mar 5, 2016, has returned to normal operations. It underwent mechanical works in January, after one of two engines on the vessel's sister ship "Ocean Outback" had failed in December. The "Ocean Swagman" was expected to begin loading a consignment of cattle in the next few days, ETA Port Said was Mar 27.

Green light for Wellard live cattle exports

Mon Aug 15 08:44:17 CEST 2011 arnekiel

THE recommencement of live cattle exports to Indonesia – which began with an Elders shipment last week – is trickling back to life, with Wellard Rural Exports announcing that it received an Approved Export Plan from the Federal Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry on Friday, for the export of 7000 cattle from Wyndham, Western Australia, to Indonesia. Wellard’s first shipment will be aboard the MV Ocean Swagman, a technologically advanced livestock vessel launched by Wellard in 2010,” the company said.
