Nera II still arrested at Miami Terminal Island
Nera II and two other cargo ships remain at Terminal Island after they were seized and detained by U.S. Marshals because their management company defaulted on its loans. "The technical term is 'been arrested.' The owner of the vessel has failed to pay the mortgage and the bank arrested the ship," said maritime attorney Ross Toyne. The Nera II was arrested at the Bernuth Agencies cargo facility in March 2012.

The "Erria Vietnam" was on a voyage from Miami to Isla San Andrés in Colombia, when the "Nera II" sent out a distress signal. The "Erria Vietnam" came to the rescue and towed the powerless "Nera II". After around 24 hours of towing the vessels reached El Bluff roads, Nicaragua, where the engine repair will take place. The "Erria Vietnam" continued its voyage to Isla San Andrés.
