Bulkcarrier suffered hull breach

The "Ermoupolis" with a crew of 21 on board was damaged in an allision with the quay while berthing at the LARCO factory in Larymna port, Phthiotis, on July 29, 2019, at 11 a.m. The bulk carrier suffered a 10-meter gash and breaches at the forecastle on port side above the waterline. The ship has just arrived from Guatemala. Also a crane on the quay and the quay itself were damaged. According to investigations, the captain did not wait for two assistance tugs and the pilot. The Greek classification socities were notified. The ship arrived at the port of Tuapse on Aug 12 at 10 p.m. and moored in pos. 44° 3.57' B 039° 5.01' E.
