Detention in Humen

The ' Myra Gas' was detained ain the port of Humen on Sep 17, 2025, by the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) authorities. The initial inspection that revealed seven deficiencies, four of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The ship dropped anchor off the port on Sep 18.

GE Shipping adds VLGC "Jag Vidhi" to its fleet

The Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has taken delivery of a 49,700-dwt very large gas carrier (VLGC). The VLGC Jag Vidhi joined the company's fleet Friday,24 August 2012 . With the addition of Jag Vidhi, GE Shipping's fleet stands at 33 vessels comprising 23 tankers (nine crude carriers, 13 product tankers, one LPG carrier) and 10 dry bulk carriers (one capesize, three kamsarmax, one panamax, four supramax, one handymax) with an average age of nine years aggregating 2.6m dwt.
