Trawler aground off Stokkøya
In the morning of Apr 20, 2017, at 4.30 a.m. the "Myntevik" ran aground on a slope a little north of Stokkøya in South-Trøndelag. The ship suffered a heavy list to port, and the crew of two was ready to be evacuated by a rescue helicopter from Ørland was requested. They had put on survival suit suits, but then decided to wait for a the lifeboat "Horn Flyer". Due to a favourable flood and spring conditions as well as calm winds the life boat did not spend more than five minutes working the trawler off the shear without major damage. The fishermen tried to proceed their own machine, but there was some noise in the gear so the lifeboat pulled them to Stokkøya where divers investigated the damage.
