Grounding in Rotterdam

On Jan 11, 2014, the "Susan" ran aground outbound from Schiedam near marker 5 and had to be refloated later by the KOTUG tugs "SD Rover" and "SD Sparta". By Jan 12 it was still in Rotterdam.

Medevac off French coast

In the night of Aug 14 around 2:20, the CROSS Etel received a phone call from the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) Den Helder indicating a sailor on bord the "Sofie N" was sick. He complained of abdominal pain. The ship was 69 miles southwest of the tip of Penmarc'h bound for Amsterdam. After a medical conference with the telemedical advice service Toulouse - the MRCC and CROSS decided a medical evacuation. A Dauphin helicopter of the Navy Base Lanvéoc with a doctor and a nurse of the health service of the armies on board was sent. Short after 4:00 a.m., the patient, a Filipino, was winched on board and taken to the University Hospital de la Cavale Blanche, Brest where the patient was delivered at 4:35 a.m.
