Ferry towed to Lapuz Lapaz

On Sep 1 the 'Dasean Joruney', after alliding a part of the Parola Ferry Terminal in Iloilo City, in the vicinity of position 10 41 32.8 N, 122 35 01.5 E, was was towed by two tugs tow the Fast Craft Terminal in Lapuz Lapaz after the passengers had been taken off. The Philippine Coast Guard Iloilo Station has begun investigating the incident.

Ferry allided with wharf

Personnel of Philippine Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iloilo and Coast Guard Medical Service – Western Visayas assisted the 'D'Asean Journey' after it went adrift at the Parola Wharf, Iloilo City, in the morning of Aug 31, 2023. The ship had departed Cuyo, Palawan on Aug 30 and was enroute to Fastcraft Terminal, Lapuz, Iloilo City when it encountered strong currents while entering the Iloilo River at around 7:25 a.m. with 109 passengers and 28 crew members on board. The vessel drifted against the Parola Wharf, Iloilo City. Immediately, Deployable Response Team (DRT) of the CGS Iloilo proceeded to the scene, and the tugs 'Canopus' and 'Geidi' were deployed for possible towing operations. The vessel was successfully pulled out from the Parola Wharf and towed to the Fastcraft Terminal. All passengers safely disembarked from the vessel at around 8:55 a.m. M/V D’ Asean Journey, departed with 109 passengers and 28 crew-members last 30 August 2023 and bound to Iloilo City.
