Vessel arrived and anchored 21 miles off pilot station as per Conakry Port Control advice at 1336 hrs 11 Nov 2010. Vessel was boarded by 5 armed pirates/armed robbers at 0045 hrs 12th Nov morning. As the pirates had the duty AB as hostage vessel had no choice but to let the pirates into the accommodation. The pirates ransacked the bridge taking with them certain mobile and portable phone and 1 pair of binoculars. The pirates/armed robbers have thieved the vessels safe, master and some personnel of their cash and valuables. Some vessel personnel have sustained injuries which have been attended to. Torm office personnel have conducted conversations and review with the vessels personnel. There has been no structural damage, casualties or any other loss affecting vessels safe operating condition. Vessel has completed discharge operations and proceeding on her next scheduled voyage.
