Mechanical damage off Schiza
On March 26, 2019, the "Bomar Hermes" suffered a mechanical damage 65 nautical miles south of the island of Schiza northwest of Zakynthos. The tug "Christos 18" of the joint venture "Med Tugs", two patrol boats of the Coast Guard and three other ships headed towards the position. The ship which was carrying 1065 containers, has not applied for assistance. It was bound to the port of Piraeus. It had sailed with 21 crew members on board from Koper on March 24. The ship arrived at Piraeus on March 28 at 6.20 a.m. On March 29 at 6 p.m. she continued to Limassol, where it berthed on March 31.
