Stowaways transferred onto ship to South Africa

Mon May 23 12:06:03 CEST 2022 Timsen

Two Tanzanian stowaways who spent almost a month at sea as they tried to make their way to Europe aboard the 'MSC England' were facing an uncertain future in South Africa after the Western Cape High Court ruled they disembark and be charged in Cape Town. The two were transferred at sea from the 'MSC England' onto the 'MSC Anzu' on April 25 after they were discovered on the vessel on its way to Montreal. The 'MSC Anzu' arrived in Cape Town on May 21.
