On April 4, 2025, the 'Marus' (IMO: 9110559), enroute from Rotterdam, alllided with the 'MSC Anshikia IV', which was anchored off Ramsgate, enroute from Abidjan. The freighter suffered severe bow damage and entered the Emder Shipyard for repairs on April 26, where it remained stationary as of May 5. The 'Anshika VI' entered the drydock of the EDR Shipyard in Antwerp on April 26 too and remained stationary as of May 5 Photo: x.com/Ht9bPSU3cN

Collision between boxship Hyundai Confidence and capesize Pacific Carrier, photo

On Dec 14 2011 boxship Hyundai Confidence collided with capesize bulk carrier Pacific Carrier off Kwangyang. Pacific Carrier was loaded with coal, en route from Indonesia to South Korea, Hyundai Confidence was on CM4 Service (Asia – Middle East). Damages of Hyundai Confidence can be seen and appreciated on pics, while Pacific Carrier suffered heavy damages in Holds 5 and 6 area, with resulting water ingress.
