Allision in Algeciras

The port of Algeciras (Cádiz) was forced to suspend operations at one of its four berths after the Morocco Star', serving on the route Tanger-Cadiz, allided with two barriers of berth 2 of the pasenger terminal on Aug 21, 2025, at around 8:00 p.m. The vessel hit with its port side as it was about to dock in Algeciras. No casualties were reported, however, the berth barriers were damaged, preventing the resumption of operations at the terminal.

Sold to European Seaways

The "Prins Joachim“ has been sold to European Seaways with delivery in May 2016 for service in Greek waters.

More sailings cancelled due to technical trouble

The scheduled sailing of the "Prins Joachim" from Rostock to Gedser on May 22, 2015, at 6 a.m. had to be cancelled due to technical problems aboard the ferry. The ship was remaining at berth 37 in Rostock since. It had arrived in port on May 21 at 6 p.m.
