Diesel spill after quay allision
The "Fri Moon" has leaked about 0,5 tons of diesel fuel after it ran into a quay at Lierstranda. The ship suffered a hole in the hull when it crashed into a pier at Hellik Teigen Nøste just before 9 a.m. on Feb 9, 2012. The surrounding ice made it difficult for the fire department to soak up the diesel, but it managed to stop the leak quickly. They worked throughout the day to soak up the diesel fuel that has leaked out. The cause of the allision was currently unknown. The police was interviewing the crew.
