At least four of the 16 crew members on board the 'MMA Crystal' were tested positive for Covid-19, while the ship was berthed in Taichung City on Feb 12, 2022. The vessel had arrived at the port on Feb 10. The infected sailors were identified to be of Indonesian and Filipino nationalities, after all crew members on board the vessel underwent PCR testing that day.
