Mira A and Sanne A raised sunken trawler off Rügen island

On Feb 15, 2017, the salvage company Baltic from Rostock raised the f/v "Potsdam" 16 miles east of Sassnist. To get the wreck up, the crane "Sanne A“ and the converted ferry "Mira A" were tasked. Also the anti pollution ship “Arkona“ attended. The 17-m-cutter had sunk in the night of July 28, 2017, enroute to breakers in Denmark. As the wreck posed a threat for shipping with a water depth of 12,4 meters above it, it had to be removed. The salvage costs were around 180.000 Euro. The wreck was lifted onto the deck of the "Mira A" which headed towards Rostock where it arrived on Feb 16.
