Oil spill in Vanino
While the tanker 'Siziman' was bunkering the 'Chios Trinity' in the port of Vanino, Khabarovsk Territory, an oil spil occurred. The Marine Rescue Service of the Sakhalin branch’s Vanino subdivision conducted oil response activities upon the request of the Harbour Master. The spill of heavy fuel oil was caused by therupture of a fuel hose. 200 liters were spilled on the deck of the 'Chios Trinity' with 100 liters spilling the water. The 'Spasatel Aleksyuk' attended with oil booms and a rescue team on board which placed 200 meters of booms around the vessel and collected the spilled oil with sorbents.
