Child medevaced off Urk

The Urk station was called to a medical incident aboard the 'Meridiaan' on the evening of Aug 20, 2025. A child had fallen down the stairs and suffered back pain. The ship was moored near an island in the Ketelmeer. The lifeboat 'Marinus Cornelis' was mobilized to provide first aid. Ambulance crews twere picked up in Ketelhaven by the lifeboat 'Kapiteins Hazewinkel'. The child was placed on a vacuum mattress, preventing movement. Once stabilized and on a stretcher, the child was transferred to the 'Kapiteins Hazewinkel' for further care. In Ketelhaven, the victim and ambulance crew were brought to an ambulance.
