16 crew members infected
After the 'Marbabu' arrived at Megara enroute from Ceyha on July 17, 2020, and offloding its cargo ofcrude oil, on July 26, one crew was reported to authorities having fever. A medical team boarded and found 16 of the 25 crew members were infectedwith coronavirus. The tanker was moved to Piraeus anchorage, where all crew members were transferred to shore. Eight Indian and 8 Filipino crew members were taken to hospital, the remainder taken to a hotel for quarantine. Tge tanker was to be disinfected, and after that, manned with a new crew.
