Medevac off Brunswick
The Coast Guard medevaced a woman from the 'Mein Schiff 6' on Nov 1, 2023, 75 miles offshore Brunswick, Georgia. Coast Guard Seventh District watchstanders received a medevac request at 10:11 p.m. on Oct 31 from the cruise ship, stating a 62-year-old passenger was suffering from symptoms of hypertension. Watchstanders consulted with the duty flight surgeon, who recommended a medevac. Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station Savannah helicopter crew to conduct the medevac. The helicopter crew arrived on scene, hoisted the passenger and her husband, then transported them to Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport where EMS were standing by. Medevac off Piraeus
In the evening of AApril 17, 2023, the Piraeus Port Authority was informed that a 53-year-old passenger of the "Mein Schiff 6", which was sailing two nautucal miles outside the port of Piraeus, needed immediate hospital care. A patrol boat was deployed to the scene, disembarked the patient and transported him to Zeas Piraeus marina, where he was picked up by an ambulance and transferred to a private hospital for medical treatment.
Passenger fell from balcony and died
In the evening of Oct 14, 2022, a passenger fell from his balcony on deck 6 when the ship was en route from Heraklion to Antalya. He succumbed to his injuries. The authorities were notified and investigated the death after the arrival in Antalya on Oct 15.
