Detention in Helsingborg
The "MBC Daisy" was detained on Aug 12, 2025, in Helsingborg with ten deficiencies, four of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Emergency systems - Emergency lighting, batteries and switches Inoperative 2) Life saving Appliances - Immersion suits Insufficient 3) Fire safety - Fixed fire exthinguishing installation Not as required 4) Labour conditions - Sleeping room, additional spaces Not as required The vessel was released again on Aug 19 and left the port enroute to Barcelona with an ETA as of Aug 31. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063576908591
Bulkcarrier released after detention
The 'MBC Daisy' left the port of Birkenhead on Jan 14, 2020, bound to Ust-Luga with an ETA as of Jan 25. The ship had been detained in Birkenhead on Dec 10, 2019. Twelve deficiencies were reported, with six grounds for detention.
Sundaisy E refloated
On Dec 9 the "Sundaisy E", which ran aground in the afternoon of Dec 8 off Batiscan, was refloated around 10 p.m. Taking advantage of the high tide, two tugs were able to pull it off the shoal in the night hours. The ship continued to Montreal for an inspection. Investigators from the Office of Canada's Transportation Safety came Batiscan to launch an investigation into the cause the grounding. The "Sundaisy E", carrying cement, had been heading to Hamilton, Ontario. She berthed at Trois Rivières on Dec 10 short past midnight.
