Electrical failure in Rhodes

The Port Authority of Rhodes was informed in the afternoon of May 25, 2022, by the Captain of the Turkish-flagged ferry "Marmaris Express" that an electrical failure occurred which resulted in inability to supply power to the generator of the starboard side main engine. The ship was banned from sailing until the presentation of a class maintenance certificate by the classification society that monitors it. The 153 passengers were forwarded to their destination with the care of the ship-owning company with another ship.

Engine trouble in Rhodes

The Port Authority of Rhodes was informed in the afternoon of May 16, 2022, by the Captain of the 'Marmaris Express' that during the departure for Marmaris the port side main engine could not be started. The ship was banned from sailing until the presentation of a class maintenance certificate by the classification society that monitors it. The 87 passengers were forwarded to their destination by another ferry.
