Allision on the Weser

On Oct 1, 2018, at 4.45 p.m. the "Lyrika" suffered a rudder failure on the Weser off Bremen-Farge enroute from Bremen to Hamburg. The ship veered off course and slammed into a dredger barge with a tug which was moored nearby. It suffered sratches, and a towing wire at starboard side broke. The cargo ship suffered only slight damage., and it was able to proceed to Brake for investigations. The police Bremen launched an investigation. The "Lyrika" left Brake on Oct 2 at 5 p.m. and arrived in Hamburg on Oct 4 at 5.50 a.m. The same afternoon it proceeded to Buckie with an ETA as of Oct 8. Collision off Heligoland

Mon Feb 13 22:50:55 CET 2012 Timsen

After a collision on Feb 12, 2012, 20 km SE of Heligoland the "Lyrika" proceeded to Cuxhaven for damage surveys. The collision was at 10.15 p.m. when one of the vessels, which was at anchor, was hit by another freighter, which did not stop but could be traced by the Federal Police. Tehys found the captain intoxicated with 0,7 per thousand. He was obliged to pay a safety fine of 5300 Euro by prosecuters in Itzehoe. The second ship involved berthed in Hamburg.
