Fire in Dordrecht

On Jan 13, 2025 ,at 11.30 a.m. a fire broke out aboard the 'Lutece', which was moored at the Keizershof in Dordrecht. The fire brigade responded with two fire engines and a cherry picker. A fire boat was also deployed to the scene in the Kalkhaven. The KNRM and representatives of the Port Authority attended too. Assistance was requested from Zwijndrecht. Some of the ship's insulation material had caught fire. The flames were quickly extinguished. Around noon the fire brigade had the 'fire under control. There were no persons on board the ship. It also had no cargo in the hold at the time the fire broke out. The fire did not spread to adjacent ships.
