Luxury yacht slammed into quay and destroyed boat

On July 23, 2019, at 5.15 p.m. the "Blue Magic" got out of control while attempting to berth in the Marina Castrignano del Capoat Santa Maria Di Leuca in the Lecce Province, and slammed into a quay, damaging two boats and destroying one sailing yacht completely, which was waiting to be demolished after some migrants had arrived on that boat months ago. The luxury yacht which had a group of tourists on board had suffereed a sudden failure of the electrical system and was thus disabled. The Coast Guard of Leuca was investigating the accident.
