Sailings cancelled due to repair works
The 'Loch Tarbert', serving on the route Tarbert-Portavadie, continued operating single ended with increased turnarounds due to its ramp issue on May 29. As a consequence, the scheduled departure from Tarbert at 5:00 p.m. and from Portavadie at 5:30 p.m. had to be cancelled. On May 30, engineers were attending the vessel to carry out repairs to the forward ramp. In order for these works to take place the scheduled departures from Tarbert at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and from Portavadie at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. had to be cancelled.
Ferry suffered issue with ramp
The 'Loch Tarbert', serving on the route Tarbert-Portavadie, suffered a technical issue with the ramp on the morning of May 26, 2025. Initially, the departures from Tarbert at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and from Portavadie at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. were cancelled. Engineers and contractors went on board for investigations and repairs. Later all remaining sailings of the day were called off. While the issue affecting the ramp remained ongoing, the vessel operated a normal service with the 08:00 a.m. sailing from Tarbert on May 27. The turnaround times may be increased while fault finding and repairs continued on the vessel.
Ferry suffered engine issue
The 'Loch Tarbert', (IMO: 9039389)), serving on the route Tarbert-Portavadie, suffered a technical issue with the main engine on Oct 26, which requires further investigation. As a consequence, the departures from Tarbert at 08:00 a.m. and 09:00 a.m. and from Portavadie at 08:30 a.m. and 09:45 a.m. have been cancelled. After the issue was resolvedm the service resumed with the 4:15 p.m. sailing from Tarbert.
