Ferry suffered generator failure
The 'Lituya' will be out of service until at least Feb 1, 2023. The vessel stopped its service to Metlakatla on Jan 18 due to a generator engine failure. Technical representatives were called to analyze the problem on Jan 21. The Inter-Island Ferry Authority will continue to fill in for the 'Lituya' while it is out of service and sidelined in Ketchikan.
